Welcome to the Devlog

This is the first entry of our devlog. A place where we'll share how Echoes of Lyra is being built, one piece at a time.

How it started

Like a lot of things that end up meaning something, this project didn't start with a plan. It started with a feeling. A mix of things I'd been carrying for years, stuff from therapy, from growing up with games, from realizing that the stories that helped me the most were the ones that didn't try to explain anything. They just let me feel.

I wanted to make something like that. A game where you don't fight. Where the point isn't winning, it's understanding. A girl, a harp, and a world made of everything she couldn't say out loud.

That's how Echoes of Lyra was born.

Why a devlog

Games are made by people. Real people, with real doubts and small victories that nobody sees. We want to change that, at least for our project.

This devlog is where we'll show the process. How a character goes from a rough sketch to something that feels alive. How a melody takes shape. How we make decisions and sometimes get them wrong. The kind of stuff that usually stays in a folder somewhere and never sees the light.

What's next

We'll go step by step. The early days, the first ideas, how the team came together. No rush. Just honest stories about making a game that matters to us.
